Channeling Lorelei

As you can see, I’ve been stocking up on cold weather makes lately.  This is a top that I originally posted over on the Sew the Show blog as my Gilmore-Girls inspired make.  Lorelei Gilmore wears a sweatshirt just like this one in an episode, except that hers was navy with a pink heart.  I would have loved to use navy and pink for this, but I didn’t have the right fabric, so green and cream it was!

I won’t go on too much here.  This is the Grainline Linden sweatshirt.  Just my 587,394th one.  Okay, that’s a slight exaggeration 🙂  I think this makes number 9.  Still, definitely a TNT pattern!

For this one I used a hunter green French terry from my stash. I’m pretty sure this fabric came from Girl Charlee and it’s really nice.  Very soft and comfortable and has nice recovery.  This was definitely a hit!

It’s my typical size 6, no alterations.  I love that I don’t need alterations to this pattern.  I also love that by this time I can put the whole thing together in about an hour.  That may seem like a long time to some people, but I’m not a speedy sewist, so an hour is really fast for me!

Anyway, if you were on the fence about getting Linden, just do it.  I don’t think you’ll regret it 🙂

Cute! Love how you embellished it. I made a Linden with a big heart on it last winter and I wear it all the time. Such a simple pattern, but so worth the investment!
