It’s been a crazy busy few weeks. After KCWC, work got super busy, and then we started getting ready for our big trip to Phoenix so the hubby could compete in Ironman Arizona!
Yes, I am married to one of those crazy people who thinks it’s fun to swim 2.4 miles, bike 112 miles and then run 26.2 miles. Or at least considers it a challenge worth pursuing.
The race was yesterday and he had a fantastic race! He finished in 11 hours, 41 minutes and 19 seconds, which was a personal best for him by over an hour! Needless to say, he’s pretty pleased with his performance.
I was very thankful that my parents and Albert’s dad were able to join us in Phoenix so that I could actually cheer him on this time around. The kids saw Daddy on the course once and then stayed with Mimi and Papa for the rest of the day while I watched our athlete to the bitter end.
When we get home, I’m looking forward to having more time for sewing and creating. And hopefully to fit in some selfish sewing! I have a little pile of Sewaholic patterns looking so forlorn in my sewing room as they wait to be sewn up. And of course Megan Nielsen’s new Briar pattern will be on it’s way to me next week 🙂
I took advantage of our trip to bring my machine in for its annual maintenance. So when we get home, Sally should be all shaped up and ready to roll!
Hope all the Americans have a happy Thanksgiving this week!
