Okay, so I’m on Day 5 of my Winter 10×10 challenge, and so far I’m doing pretty good! I’ve learned a few things already — the most important being that I really need to make myself some new pants for work! That is already on my agenda, and I’m going to push myself to get that done fast. The two pants I’m wearing this week are basically my only work pants, and neither of them is a comfortable workhorse pair for me. But the outfits:
I started on a Saturday, so this was a weekend look for me. I love these Madewell jeans, and they pair well with just about anything.
Another weekend day. Our refrigerators crapped over the weekend, so Albert and I made an unplanned trip up to Nebraska Furniture Mart to buy new ones. I was very comfortable for that outing.
Back to work today. This is where I know that my wardrobe will feel limiting. I took it easy today with some looser silhouettes.
Okay, here’s my big takeaway so far: I don’t really like these pants. I made these ones early in my jeans making career when I didn’t understand as much about pants fitting, and they just have some issues. As a result, they’re not comfortable to wear for a whole day. I actually wear them all the time because they’re just so versatile. But I’m almost done making a pair of black jeans that will fit much better, and when those are done, I think these will be on the outs.
And my navy Gingers appear again. Even though they’re not my most comfortable pants, they may be my most versatile. A pair of basic black or navy jeans go with just about anything.
