This is the second installment in my attempt to document how I actually wear my handmade items on a day-to-day basis.  I admit that I typically wear these pants with heels, as I like the height and formality of heels with the loose shape of the pants.  But I was in the mood to wear my Tieks that day, and I still think it works.  And if it doesn’t, I was comfortable so I’m not sure I care!

I originally made these modified harem pants with the idea that they would be part of my casual weekend wardrobe, but it turns out that I am far more likely to wear them to work than I am on the weekend.  It’s just hard to beat comfortable easy-to-wear pants for the office when they look professional and are made from a nice rayon crepe.

My handmades get a lot more wear since I stopped sewing with so many prints and shifted primarily to solid colors.  I always gravitate towards solids and I love that they are easy backdrops for great jewelry!
