Coffee Date Friday

Coffee Date Friday {#40}

Hey peeps!  Long time, no chat.

Come join me for a coffee date!

Just popping in for a quick coffee today as it’s Halloween and I need to get out of the office early to go get everyone prepped for an unusually frigid trick-or-treating excursion (yes, high of 47 counts as a “frigid” Halloween in Kansas.  Thank goodness there’s no snow in the forecast. I might cry).

I got back earlier this week from my weekend sewing retreat with my girlfriend-wives and it was fantastic.  The weekend really deserves a post all its own, which I will do…eventually.  Until then, here’s a glimpse of our cumulative sewing (and drinking) output for the weekend.  We were all pretty productive!

The cumulative results of our sewing weekend — 4 sewists of varying levels of experience.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I may have some interesting times on the horizon from a career standpoint.  I can’t really say anything at this point, but I am excited!

If we were having coffee today, I’d tell you that I got to go to Game 1 of the World Series!  Even though my boys in blue took a beating that day, it was still a blast.  And even though the Giants squeaked by them in Game 7 (grrr), they still played a fantastic series and we are soooooo proud of them!

The biggest American flag I’ve ever seen. I wish I’d gotten video of them rolling it back up. It was pretty amazing.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that Baby J is officially walking now!  He lurches around with his hands half over his head, kind of like Dr. Frankenstein’s monster.  It’s pretty freaking adorable.

If we were having coffee today, I’d tell you there are so many sewing accomplishments I need to share with you!  Am I the only one who finds it impossible to photograph projects when it’s not summer and the sun isn’t out until 9pm anymore?  Maybe I can do some this weekend.  I hope.  J could always be my photographer 🙂

If we were having coffee, what would you tell me?
