Hope all the Americans are having a wonderful Fourth of July weekend! Glad you could take some time out to join me for coffee.
If we were having coffee this morning, I’d tell you about J and N’s kids race last weekend. I’m a board member for my local CASA organization (CASA = Court-Appointed Special Advocate. The organization represents abused and neglected children in the juvenile court system). Last weekend was our inaugural Superhero Run — a fundraiser for the CASAs in Jackson County, MO as well as Johnson/Wyandotte County, KS. Albert ran the 5K and took third overall (J was really impressed that he got a proper trophy) and J and N both participated in the kids run. N in full tutu regalia — with her game face on of course 🙂
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that we officially finished our Whole30! Just in time for the holiday weekend, too. Our eating habits haven’t changed too much in July (except for over the holiday of course), but we did celebrate with some cupcakes on July 1. And then had a tummy ache after from all the sugar 🙁
If we were having coffee this morning, I’d tell you how Baby J continues to work towards sleeping through the night full time. This week he went a couple days in a row sleeping 10-11 hours straight with NO feedings, but then last night woke up at 3 am (and was up for 45 minutes with 2 poopy diapers in that time — tons of fun). It’s been a slow process getting this one to sleep through, but he’s steadily working in the right direction!
And I think we’d have a short coffee date this weekend since we’d both obviously have holiday activities!
If we were having coffee, what would you tell me?
