What I Wore: MMM13 Week 1

Week 1 of Me-Made May 2013 has come and gone, and I’m happy to report that I did in fact wear a me-made piece of clothing or accessory every day. I did not, however, succeed in taking photos every day.

But honestly, I’m not sure that you all would want to see pictures of my outfits every day. Trust me when I say that I am no fashion blogger — I work in a law office and have two small children, so as much as I try to be “fashionable,” current fashion trends don’t always fit my life. That combined with the fact that my husband has a real talent for taking photos that make me look as round and pregnant as I could possibly look, and that my photos are all taken at night after the kids are in bed under harsh, artificial light, and it’s really probably for the best that I’m not torturing you all with daily what-I-wore photos!

I will try to snap a few photos throughout the week, for proof if nothing else, and will at least document what me-made items I wore on a weekly basis. For the first week, I managed to get a photo the first three days of MMM13:

Creative Counselor: MMM13 What I Wore Week 1
Day 1: Ruched Maternity Skirt; Day 2: Commuter Cowl; Day 3: Ruched Maternity T-shirt and Briar Top

My week 1 me-made items were:

Day 1: Megan Nielsen Ruched Maternity Skirt (Still unblogged. The review is written, I just need some decent photos!)

Day 2: Luvinthemommyhood Commuter Cowl (also unblogged).

Day 3: Megan Nielsen Ruched Maternity T-shirt (blogged here), and Briar top (blogged here).

Day 4: Megan Nielsen Ruched Maternity Tank (blogged here).

Day 5: Briar top (same one as Day 3)

Day 6: Megan Nielsen Darling Ranges Dress (blogged here). I sense a pattern.

Day 7: Colette Sorbetto top, lengthened to tunic length (unblogged).

    1. Thanks! It’s hard to feel “stylish” when I’m pregnant, but I’m hoping MMM gives me some extra motivation. I really need to make a few more items for my wardrobe though or these posts are going to get REALLY boring!

  1. Nicely done! I wore a LOT of scarves when pregnant. And I also stocked up on accessories like cute shoes fun necklaces and earrings since I felt there was so little to make me feel stylish in solid colored whale sized clothes!

    1. Yes so hard to be stylish! I have a lot of chunky necklaces now, and J loves to pick out my morning necklace. I always wear flats though, and there are only so many pairs of those that I can have before they start repeating :/
